Nick Mercuri is a new comer to the music scene even though he grew up in a very musical family. He’s a resident of Fergus Ontario originating from South Eastern New Brunswick. He credits early influencers of The Beatles and Elvis Presley that have helped shape his music playing. At the age of ten he became an Elvis impersonator and elements of this can be heard and seen in his music along with east coast Celtic sounds from Canada’s maritimes. World renowned Celtic guitarist, Tony McManus, has said this of Nick,
“I have come to greatly admire his determination, talent, curiosity, and openness to exploring new ideas while grounding his music in the classics which have been the springboard to Nick’s own creative journey. Get onboard!”
Nick’s live performances deliver everything from toe tapping rockabilly, to traditional roots, east coast shanties, to warm and emotional ballads. His melodic voice combined with his guitar styling has a magical way in capturing an audience. His energetic east coast country charm has been delighting the audiences at the ABC open mic’s both in Milton and Hamilton. Now you can see him as a feature in our season at our Milton location.
